World's First Supercharged IPAM: FusionLayer Infinity 2.2.1.0 Introduces Hybrid DB

Wednesday May 11, 2016

Espoo, Finland, May 11, 2016 ⎯ FusionLayer, Inc. has released version 2.2.1.0 of FusionLayer Infinity, the Software-Defined IPAM solution. The latest addition to the Infinity series is the world’s first IP Address Management (IPAM) solution that combines NoSQL and traditional SQL databases in a single system.

“As the computing and networking paradigms shift, software-defined IPAM is becoming a unified platform that spans outside the traditional DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (“DDI”) realm,” said Juha Holkkola, the Chief Executive of FusionLayer. “As we pull in data that originates from SDN controllers, OpenStack, and other third-party systems, leveraging NoSQL allows us to provide visibility and carry out provisioning at the speed of business.”

In addition to the hybrid database architecture, the latest Infinity version introduces a new DNS management workflow and more than 100 new features and enhancements based on customer feedback. Continued collaboration with select service providers and data center customers has been a key factor in ensuring that all product decisions have been based on the use-cases and third-party integrations these customers use as part of their automated workflows.

Infinity development is backed up by aggressive investments and continues to thrive with the customer-centric vision of simplifying your networked world. FusionLayer is currently working with several tier-1 technology providers to transform software-defined IPAM into a unified platform for network visibility and provisioning to accelerate this vision.
