Nixu Software Helps Swisscom's Mobile Customers Roam Free

Nixu Software today announced that Swisscom, Switzerland's leading telecom provider, upgraded its strategic network and IT infrastructure with Nixu's intelligent DNS and IP address management solutions. With the help of Nixu, this timely implementation secured Swisscom's top-spot position in the next generation of mobile communications with 4G LTE.

Interested in managing the entire lifecycle, Swisscom was looking to upgrade its infrastructure with a fully redundant DNS system and components capable of addressing its high query rates. It was also imperative that the migration process from the existing infrastructure to the new system would not cause any network disruptions. Swisscom was impressed with Nixu's offering, as it was the only vendor who could satisfy all their requirements.

"We have been extremely satisfied with Nixu's speedy customer support and their agility and flexibility in meeting our requirements," said Marco Vonmoos, head of operations, Wireless Data-Core at Swisscom AG. "We are excited to work with Nixu Software and utilize its technology as part of our mobile roaming gateway."

By choosing Nixu Cloud IP Suite, Swisscom was able to achieve the following benefits:

  • Increased scalability and resiliency of its DNS service
  • Out of the box support for emerging networking standards
  • Ability to monitor DNS performance and analyze traffic statistics
  • Improved network transparency
