FusionLayer Revolutionizes Hybrid Network Management
Helsinki, Finland, ⎯ FusionLayer has today unveiled a new version of FusionLayer Infinity that revolutionizes networking for enterprises with a Hybrid Information Technology (Hybrid IT) strategy. The latest iteration of FusionLayer’s Hybrid Network Management solution enables real-time management of network assignments in multivendor Hybrid IT environments that span across public clouds and private enterprise data centers.
Leading industry analysts such as Gartner have suggested that Hybrid IT will become the most common usage of cloud by 2020. This is expected to cut down the Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) incurred by businesses as the Hybrid IT model allows companies to pay only for the computing capacity that they use. Another prediction from IDC is that 80% of IT organizations will be committed to hybrid architectures by 2018. These developments are expected to accelerate the enterprise IT transformation during the next 2-3 years.
Originally introduced in 2013, the adoption of Hybrid IT strategies was slow to pick up due to information security concerns. These concerns have now been alleviated as many public cloud providers such as AWS and Microsoft Azure have added Virtual Private Clouds (VPC) into their service portfolios. The VPC technology allows enterprises to extend their networks into public clouds securely without exposing their applications to the public internet.

Through utilization of the built-in networking capabilities of public clouds such as AWS, Infinity allows new networks to be activated and deactivated in seconds via its API in both single and multitenant use cases. Additionally, compliance with common security and operational methodologies, Infinity provides clients with audit trails and real-time visibility into the networks activated in public clouds.
